Improving Youth Health & Wellness
The Office of Youth and Community Restoration (OYCR) assists stakeholders with policy implementation strategies to improve physical and behavioral health services for youth in the juvenile justice system with the goal of reducing or eliminating symptoms and supporting their overall wellness and healthy living.
Additionally, OYCR promotes evidence-based, community-defined evidence, trauma-responsive, culturally respectful, and gender-specific services. We support youths’ successful transition into adulthood and help them achieve their full potential as responsible, thriving, and engaged members of their communities.
In addition to the Youth Health resources shared below, you can find additional training on our Trainings page.
To incorporate educational health into your own youth justice practices, explore the resources provided below. You can also see the policies that influenced our resource gathering here.
